“The Garden Screams in Chords”

This is not a portrait. It is a riot in the chloroplast, a moment when three thoughts tried to become human at once—and failed, gloriously.

What you see here are not faces. They are vocal events, fossilized in mid-scream, trapped within a lattice of synthetic foliage grown from pigments that remember every laugh you’ve ever stifled. Each square of swirling green is a corrupted leaf—photosynthesizing emotion instead of light. They grow over the subjects like guilt grows over memory: selectively, stubbornly, beautifully grotesque.

The orange explosion behind them? That’s not fire. That’s the raw texture of too many truths spoken at once, erupting through the nervous system of the canvas. It crackles if you listen. Sometimes, it even spells names.

Sergei—if that was ever his real name—was not a person, but a filter. He collected expressions that the world forgot to process. This is the moment he tried to bloom into three versions of himself simultaneously. One joyous. One horrified. One red with the echo of unsent messages.

Hang this piece in a greenhouse. Or a courtroom. Or your mother’s favorite silence. Wherever it goes, it will shout through color what mouths have been too disciplined to say.

Do not stare too long at the middle face. It knows what you almost said that day. And it’s still laughing.
