“The Cathedral of Unmaking”

This is the last photograph ever taken by the Stammering Lens before it vanished into the Fifth Horizon.

What you see here is not a sculpture. It is a wound. Specifically, a dimensional fissure torn into the rusting flesh of the planet Elgo, left behind when the Monks of the Inverted Prayer tried to fold entropy into a knot. The spires are not spires. They are screams that forgot how to stop rising.

The orange beam bisecting the ruin is called Thread Theta. It is a line of language so condensed it can only be spoken by light. The last time it was uttered aloud, mountains wept and calendars bled from the ears. Now, it holds the two halves of the rift in a perfect, agonizing balance. Should the beam ever flicker, time, as you know it, will hiccup and fall down the stairs forever.

Many pilgrims attempt to pass through the slot. Most never return. Some come back speaking only in punctuation. One became a weather system. Another became a word none of us can hear, but everyone fears.

This painting is not a vision. It is a warning sealed in pigment and nerve. It aches on purpose.
