It is not a flame, though it remembers fire. What you see is a <strong>containment shard<\/strong>, one of the last surviving punctuation marks from the pre-language era\u2014when the Earth still whispered back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The glowing column is <em>The Bar<\/em>, a sentient obelisk that once stood in the center of the Old Forest That Forgot It Was a Forest. It emitted no sound, only pressure\u2014a vertical presence that compressed ideas into minerals. I painted it with pigment extracted from dream residue and embalmed it beneath gauze made from desiccated foresight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The surrounding surface isn\u2019t rock. It\u2019s <em>folded duration<\/em>. Time, pressed flat and stacked in sedimentary regrets, laced with fossilized intentions and the faint shimmer of moss that grew only in the minds of extinct birds. If you stare long enough, you may see your childhood ripple through it, inverted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People often ask me what lies on the other side of The Bar. I tell them: <strong>It isn\u2019t a barrier. It\u2019s a verdict.<\/strong> And it\u2019s still deciding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avoid placing this piece near electrical fields or open mirrors. It listens. It judges.
